Branding Tips and Tricks

Google adjusts their logo to celebrate seasons, holidays and other special events. Have you ever wanted a logo to celebrate the anniversary of your company? You can and it is easy to do!

The portal’s Enterprise Branding engine is the only functionality in the Enterprise Portal that allows for effective dating. This allows you to change your logo and have it displayed for only the time you have specified. It’s a great little way to get your users always coming back for the next logo change and to celebrate important company events.

Why will your CEO Love Web 2.0?

Information overload is becoming prevalent across all organizations, and employees universally are struggling to make fast decisions when they cannot get access to the information they need. Never mind the fact that they are also unsure of its accuracy and completeness. This article describes the dilemma facing many people across the world.

A 2005 survey from The Center for Media Research shows:

  • 30% of information workers' time is spent searching for information
  • At a cost of $18k each year per employee in lost productivity
  • Collectively, the time spent gathering and looking for information translates to an estimated 5.4 billion lost hours per year for US corporations

But while technology is often the culprit behind this quagmire of data, technology can also – if used right – be its savior. By using Web 2.0 principles, the PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal, and IntraSee’s tried and trusted implementation toolkit, you can transform chaos into order. By doing so you will enable your employees to make fast and informed decisions that will turbo charge your organizations productivity. Here are three key solutions that IntraSee has designed for our customers:

  • ”I’d like to…” is a live search feature that offers immediate suggestions when employees are searching for the actions they need to perform. An intelligent thesaurus ensures that the user always finds what they are looking for.
  • “Business Process Steps” guide employees through each process step. Contextual help, contact information, forms and policies are all surfaced at the appropriate time and step. No more long navigational menus!
  • “My To Do’s” displays immediate alerts from multiple data sources and applications in one consolidated worklist.

All of these solutions have been put into place – without customizations!

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about what the new versions of PeopleTools can do for your organization!
